Proiezioni prospettiche
Non voi avete
scelto me, dice Gesù. Lui stesso seleziona e chiama alcuni per una missione
speciale: costruire una sola chiesa con tutto il popolo di Israele insieme a
tutte le nazioni. “Non voi avete scelto me, ma io ho scelto voi e vi ho
costituiti perché andiate e portiate frutto e il vostro frutto rimanga” (Gv 15,16)
I discepoli, che
diventano seguaci e partecipi della vita del Maestro, sono destinati all’apostolato:
“Quando fu giorno, chiamò a sé i suoi discepoli e ne scelse dodici, ai quali
diede anche il nome di apostoli” (Lc 6,13)
Per quale motivo
non so, ma la scelta di Paolo, dopo i 12, rimasti in Undici, è probabilmente
necessaria per uscire dalla Palestina e arrivare al mondo con il Vangelo. Il
Signore, risorto, disse ad Anania inviandolo a Saulo: «Va', perché egli è lo
strumento che ho scelto per me, affinché porti il mio nome dinanzi alle
nazioni, ai re e ai figli d'Israele” (At 9,15)
L’ordine di
arrivare a tutti, era precedente: “Andate dunque e fate discepoli tutti i
popoli, battezzandoli nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito Santo” (Mt
28,19). Era anche più determinante nella versione di Marco (16,15s): “E – il Risorto
- disse loro: «Andate in tutto il mondo e proclamate il Vangelo a ogni
creatura. Chi crederà e sarà battezzato sarà salvato, ma chi non crederà sarà
condannato”. Punto
Paolo sembra l’apostolo
che più prende alla lettera il mandato del Risorto
Luca, che in
questa pericope parla della prima chiamata, dei primi discepoli, è in realtà
egli stesso un collaboratore di Paolo (non di Pietro)
